FCHA to Host Try Hockey for Free Event on November 6

Franklin County Hockey Association, in conjuction with USA Hockey, will be hosting a Try Hockey for Free event on Saturday, November 6 at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield, MA from 10:50-11:50 AM.

This event is aimed at children ages 4-10 and is completely FREE.  Register today at www.tryhockeyforfree.com

FCHA will provide helmets, skates and other equipment as needed.  FCHA coaches will lead the on ice session and all coaches are certified by USA Hockey.

Register Now for FCHA Introductory Programs

FCHA introductory programs will begin on Saturday, December 4.  Programs offered are as follows:

FCHA Learn to Skate

Learn to Skate is for children of all ages to learn the basics of skating.  Instruction is featured each week and skating aides are also provided.  This program costs $70 for all weeks or walk-ins will pay $7 per week.  Meets each Saturday from 11:00AM-11:50AM from December 4 through February 26.  Skates and helmets are available or bring your own.

Note that the registration link for Learn to Skate is for those families that wish to pay for the full seaosn in advance. If you plan to walk in you can register each week at the rink.  Walk in cost is $7 per week. 

Introduction to Hockey 

For children ages 6 and under, this program will focus on the basics of ice hockey skills such at skating, passing, stick handling and shooting.  Program will meet on Saturdays from 10:10AM – 11:00AM and Sundays from 1:00PM – 1:50PM. Program fee is $199.  Starts on Saturday, December 4 and runs through February 26.  All players must register with USA Hockey.

FCHA Jr. House League

For ages 12 and under, Jr. House league is the next step up from Introduction to Hockey and meets twice per week.  Sunday sessions will feature station based practices, while Saturdays will feature cross ice games.  Meets each Saturday from 10:10 AM-11:00 AM and Sundays from 1:00 PM – 1:50 PM.  Begins December 4 and runs through February 26.   Program fee is $199. All players must also register with USA Hockey (Free if you attend Try Hockey for Free clinic).

Equipment Program:  FCHA is able to provide loaner equipment for all programs at no charge. However, a refundable deposit of $150 is required.
