History:  This is the eighth year we have held this event. We originally started this event as a small but dedicated fund raiser for Adam Dzialo and his family.  Adam Dzialo, a former FCHA goalie, was severally injured in a near-drowning accident in the Deerfield River to the extent that Adam requires constant care and will never be able to play hockey again. Net proceeds from this event now support our financial aid program for needy hockey families.

The NERT coaches’ game is one of the highlights of our tournament.  It is a great way to get to know your fellow coaches, to foster camaraderie and good sportsmanship among all the coaches, and amuse your players, their parents, and your spouse. Most of all, it helps remind all of us why we love this game of hockey so much and how challenging it is to play it.

Food, including home-cooked dinner items, will be available at the concession table in the rink.

The cost is $10 per coach. Please pay me in the locker room at the rink prior to the game. Checks may be made payable to the FCHA Financial Aid Program.

If your team will not be participating in the coaches’ game, please let me know by email (dlenois@facil.umass.edu).
